In retrospect of the past thirty years or so , the campus of Xiamen Foreign Language School has been expanded for three times, from the Gulangyu Islet to Yuandang Lake, and at last to Xiamen “Future Coast”. By the endeavors of all the leaders, teachers and students, the school has been becoming strong and competitive, testifying the great development of the education in Xiamen Special Economic Zone.

创业开拓（1981年至1994年）

The Settlement and Exploration (1981 – 1994)

1981年12月26日厦门市政府批准创办厦门英语中学，学校的办学规模为6个年段12个班，学生约600人，教工人数不到百人。1982年秋，招收第一届学生80名，学生教室和宿舍暂设厦门二中初中部。1984年秋，学校搬迁到厦门二中高中部。1990年7月21日市政府以厦府[1990]130号文批准将厦门英语中学更名为9297威尼斯棋牌。

When the government approved the establishment of Xiamen English Middle School on December 26th, 1981, the school had 6 grades and 12 classes, with about 600 students and less than 100 teaching staff. When the first 80 students were enrolled in the autumn of 1982, the classrooms and dormitories were set up in the junior high school campus of Xiamen No.2 Middle School. In the autumn of 1984, the school moved to the senior high school campus of Xiamen No.2 Middle School. On July 21st 1990, the government approved of changing the name of Xiamen English Middle School to Xiamen Foreign Language School with an official document numbered XIAFU[1990]130.

发展变化（1994年至今）

The Developments and Changes (since 1994)

为适应特区建设的需要，市计委和规划局批准澳门新威尼斯棋牌登录新校舍的基建规划，1993年新校址动工，经一年建设，1994年11月12日学校迁至湖滨北路88号。当时办学规模扩大为6个年段24个班，学生约1200人，教工人数一百多人。

To meet the demand of the developments in the Special Economic Zone, the Xiamen Planning Commission and Planning Bureau approved the construction plan of new buildings initiated by the school. The project started in 1993. In the next year, the school was moved to No. 88, Hubin North Road on November 12th 1994. At that time, the scale of the school expanded to 6 grades and 24 classes, with about 1,200 students and more than 100 teaching staff.

扩展腾飞（2001年起至今）

The Expansion and Rapid Development (Since 2001)

为充分利用学校优质教育资源，带动周边地区教育教学的发展，2001年11月，厦门市规划委员会同意在海沧嵩屿新建外国语学校新校区。2003年海沧新校区开始动工建设，2004年9月海沧高中部开学。至此，学校办学规模进一步扩大。目前，学校共有85个班级，学生约4400人，教职工345人。

To accelerate the educational development of the area with our quality educational resource, Xiamen Planning Commission consented to the construction of the Haicang Campus of Xiamen Foreign Language School in November 2001. This new part of the school was officially opened in September of 2004 after one-year construction. Since then, the school had a further expansion, with 85 classes, more than 4,400 students and 345 teaching staff.
